LKFF2016 travels to Northern Ireland:
As part of its ten day tour around the UK, the London Korean Film Festival 2016 will be visiting Northern Ireland from 25-27 November, screening three superlative Korean films that featured prominently in the London section of the festival. The films will be screened at Queen’s Film Theatre, Belfast. Details are as follows:
Friday 25 Nov:
FOREVER THE MOMENT
Compelling dramatisation of the Korean women’s handball team’s Olympic run, focused on the team’s ageing players and the hardships they face.
Saturday 26 Nov:
FOURTH PLACE
Veteran director Jung Ji-woo’s poetic and engrossing drama examines the world of competitive sports and the toll it takes on its youngest members.
Sunday 27 Nov:
THE TRUTH BENEATH
As her husband's election campaign rages around her, one woman fights to uncover the truth beneath her daughter’s disappearance in this tense thriller.
The Hangul Celluloid website was recently asked by the London Korean Film Festival to write an article focusing on the career and importance to Korean cinema of actor Baek Yoon-sik, who is to be a special guest at the festival in November.
